MyKitchenRadar is a family kitchen app that tells you how many days each food at home will last, like "tomato: about 2 days", and reminds everyone before it runs out. Its shared buy list starts with whatever is about to run out, before anyone types a word.
The shop-floor phone call
Dad is at the shop. Mom is at home, halfway through cooking. He calls to ask if there is dal, and she has to stop and check the shelf.
In another house, two people each pick up a 10 kg bag of rice on the same day. A shared list helps only if someone remembered to write on it, and the milk that ran out at breakfast was never typed in.
MyKitchenRadar starts the list from the kitchen itself. The countdown sees that milk finishes today and rice is under the level you always keep, so both are already on the list when Dad opens it.
How the buy list works
Open Buy list and you see what to buy, grouped by when you need it:
- Needed by tomorrow (red): items with today or 1 day left
- This week (amber): items with 2–6 days left
Each item shows:
- A suggested amount, like 2 L of milk or 10 kg of rice. Quantities are suggestions you can change.
- Who added it, with a note or a reason, like "Mom · for palak paneer" on paneer, "Mom · about 2 days left" on tomato, or "Dad · below 5 kg" on rice
Needed by tomorrow
- Milk 2 L Emma: “need milk for cereal!”
- Paneer 200 g Mom: “for palak paneer”
This week
- Tomato 1 kg Mom
- Rice 10 kg Dad: below 5 kg
- Coriander 1 bunch Dad
Ready the evening before you shop
Pick your shopping day once. Shop on Saturday and the buy list reminder comes on Friday at 7 pm, with time to check the cupboard and add what is missing.
"Always keep" puts staples on the list for you
Set an "always keep" level for each staple, such as 5 kg of rice. When the countdown says the rice is below that level, rice joins the buy list with a suggested amount.
That is how the list knows about things nobody typed. The person at the shop can also see what is already at home, so the second bag of atta stays on the shelf.
Order links open the shop app with the item searched
Each item on the buy list has order links. Tap one and a shop app opens with that item already searched. The shops shown depend on your country:
| Country | Shops |
|---|---|
| India | Blinkit, Zepto, Instamart, BigBasket, Amazon |
| United States | Instacart, Amazon |
You place the order in the shop's own app. MyKitchenRadar does not place orders or handle grocery payments.
One kitchen on every family phone
Send an invite link and the same kitchen opens on everyone's phone: Mom, Dad, Emma, Jack and Grandma. The person who shops and the person who cooks see the same buy list and the same countdowns.
Anyone can add to the list. Typing works, and so does "Hey Siri, add milk to Kitchen Radar" when your hands are full.
How it differs from a shared grocery list app
| Shared grocery list app | MyKitchenRadar buy list | |
|---|---|---|
| Where items come from | Someone types them | Someone types them, or the countdown adds what is running low |
| How urgent each item is | Not shown | Needed by tomorrow, or This week |
| What it knows about home | Only what was typed | How many days each item will last |
| Amounts | Whatever was typed | A suggested amount for each item |

Questions
Can the whole family use the same shopping list?
Yes. An invite link puts the same kitchen and the same buy list on every phone in the family. Each item shows who added it. Sharing needs sign-in and SyntyAxis's server.
How is this different from a normal shared grocery list app?
A list app only knows what someone typed. MyKitchenRadar also counts down what you have at home, so milk or rice can reach the list before anyone notices it is low.
Can I still add things by hand?
Yes. Type any item onto the buy list, or say "Hey Siri, add milk to Kitchen Radar".
When does the buy list reminder come?
The evening before your shopping day. If you shop on Saturday, the reminder comes on Friday evening.
Does it order groceries for me?
No. Order links open a shop app such as Blinkit, Zepto, Instamart, BigBasket, Amazon or Instacart with the item already searched. You place the order in that app.
Does everyone in the family need an iPhone?
MyKitchenRadar comes first for iPhone, iPad and Mac. Android comes after that, so family members on Android will join later.
